So Mitch was in town this weekend--our last travel weekend of his internship. He'll be done in 2 weeks, thankfully! Just a little note for all you married couples out there: don't take living together for granted.
When Mitch got to the airport I said I would pick him up outside... but little did he know I was waiting at baggage claim. A fun little idea to surprise your significant other :) But it's been a great pioneer day weekend. Yesterday we floated down the provo river with Jame & Nate and Jare & Murphy... let's just say the tubes that Jylare and I bought were the size of a 5 year-olds dingy donut! We looked like idiots and nearly hit every rock on the way down! oh but it was hilarious. I bruised my wrist on a rock and Mitch's ankle is swollen from jumping out to stop all of us at the end. good times... next time Mitch said he's floating down on one of those blow-up orca whales.
But the best part of the day was going to barnes & noble for 2 hours and looking at every London/Paris book and map we could to plan out every second of our trip. This is nothing like study abroad--when you only have 2 weeks in Europe you have to plan plan. Thus we have created a trip binder with tabs for all our schedules, tickets, maps, etc. It is amazing. I definitely recommend the DK top 10 books like in this picture. Detailed but succinct (if this is possible)
Well only 2 weeks left of our crazy distance marriage--so wish us luck!
