Birthweek 2008

The first year we were married, Mitch started an idea to celebrate my birthweek, meaning the week before and the week after my birthday. He says that every night of these weeks we get to do whatever I want (within reason of course). This week was the end of Birthweek 2008. It was a great birthday this year. Thanks to everyone for your cards, calls, emails, dinner dates, etc!

Highlights included:
-Death Cab/Tegan & Sara Concert

-Bday dinner at Faustina (had lobster risotto with arugula and Mitch had filet mignon with huckleberry and a gorgonzola/potato compote, and of course a chocolate souffle for dessert--YUM. you must try this place!)

-The amazing jacket Mitch picked out for me with no hints or direction on my part whatsoever.

-Girls' dinner at Trio.

-The cupcake stand from my mom.

Shannon - Happy Birthday! I love the idea of the birth week! I am Chelsea's friend that lives in St.George. I have stalked your blog and noticed your fun trip to San Fran! I wanted to ask you where you stayed and what there is to do there? I have been thinking of taking a short trip with my honey and thought that would be an ideal spot. If you would be so kind to email me at artichokendj@yahoo.com that would be great! I would love to get your ideas and input!

i tried pulling the "but it's my birthday weekend" a couple times with my husband and he just wouldn't buy into the idea that a b-day can be celebrated for than the day of! too bad. :) i'm so impressed with your hubby's fashion sense...he did good! kevin bought me a sweatshirt once, and that's about the extent of him shopping for clothes for me.
