- We’ve watched Emerson growing from a teeny infant into an alert little guy.
- We took E to the doctor and got his stats as well as his first vaccinations; he sure is long and skinny:
Height: 24 inches, 75th Percentile
Head: 41cm, 50th Percentile
Weight: 10 lbs, 5 oz., 25th Percentile (believe it or not we’re excited about this; last time his weight was 10th Percentile!)
- I’ve loved having time during the day to run at the park; my legs still feel like lead but I’m able to run farther, so I’m hoping it gets easier soon. On another note I have not loved the gross Utah inversion; I have to check the air quality everyday online to see if I can go outside or if it’s a red alert day—really gross! We have the worst air in the country… great place to have our first baby, really.
- E is finally getting some chub on his cheeks and a little on his legs.
- Mitch and I were able to take our first date sans baby last weekend thanks to Grandma C! We never realized how much we missed seeing a movie, eating sushi, and holding hands for a couple uninterrupted hours.
- I always thought when I’d be at home I’d be able to blog more, but I really never want to take time away from hanging out with our cute little guy. I have so much fun with him; he laughs and coos all the time and it really melts my heart.
And of course some pictures of Emerson; he’s grown so much.

Yay for healthy babies. He is definitely filling out! Just wait until you can pinch their cute thighs. Keep up the good work of running!
Oh he's gotten so much bigger! I think I see a double chin developing... yay! Next time I see him he will be so much bigger.. boo. Maybe you need to come have a girls week in So Cal??
Oh my goodness!!!!
He is so beautiful! I'm sure I can see hints of Brendan in that adorable face. ;) He's already growing up so fast.
I love him! Ada cooed at his pictures, I think she's already developing a crush on her future hubby :)
these photos are so adorable! keep up the running Shan, you're doing great! but let's hope the inversion doesn't kill your lungs when you're out with little E.
Adorable! Adie is sitting next to me while I read blogs and she saw the pictures of Emerson and said and said, "Oh cute!" We really should have stopped by to visit you when we were in town, but it was the holidays and I knew you had just had little E, so I didn't want to interrupt family time. The next time we're in town, we'll see if we can come by and see your cute little family. Emerson will be so different by then though. They grow so fast! I am glad you are enjoying being home with your little guy.
I like the angry face pictures best. So adorable.
He's adorable! It's so bittersweet to watch them grow--you want them to stay tiny, but every new stage is so much fun. I sound so cliche right? But it's so true!
