Today E is 5 months old. It is weird to think about my life now compared to 6 months ago—then I was worried about meetings and conferences for work, projects and reports; now I am worried about how often Emerson is going to the bathroom and if he is spitting up too much! So funny. I love it. Being a mom is the best.
Emerson is really no longer a newborn, just a super active and happy little guy. This past month he:
- Graduated to Size 2 Diapers… yay for this skinny guy growing!
- Laughs when we read his books during our morning learning time; I think he’s started to recognize the books and their pictures
- Favorite play music: Michael Buble and James Morrison
- Favorite book: The Very Hungry Caterpillar
-Still loves to nurse, but now also loves to eat rice cereal and loves drinking water from my cup. (He was trying to bite it one day, so I put it up to his mouth and started slurping my water… now whenever I have my cup of water with me he opens his mouth and pants with excitement, so I give him so little sips.)
- Laughs and smiles so big whenever Mitch gets home from work. He loves when Mitch plays with him. On nights when I’m at workout classes they get a couple hours of bonding time.
We are having friends over tomorrow night for games and desserts, and we’re joking that it is a 5 month party for E. Not really, but an excuse to make cupcakes for us!

Whoa! He's growing so fast! I love how you've taken pictures on the same chair. I also love his big bright eyes! So charming!
Love the way he looks up at his momma :) He is a skinny mini...Ada is in size 3 diapers with her ghetto booty!!! haha
Wow time flys!! He can definitely have some of Gaines chub, he has plenty to pass around :) He look so sweet and innocent!
That book was Tyler's favorite when he was little and he still asks me to read it to him. Aren't their laughs just the best sound in the world?
Oh, he is adorable! I love how you said he pants for water. :) So cute! He has so much hair, too.
