Cake Decorating Class

Last week Jordan and I had our first class… it focused on cupcakes. We realized it is a little hard to learn when there are a lot of students and only one teacher. We’re hoping we can get some more individual time in the next couple weeks. (It’s only a 4 week class, so pretty short!)

I didn’t really like the taste of this one, but it was really fun to make—the spaghetti and meatballs cupcake! The top is a Ferrero Rocher chocolate with jam and white chocolate shreds on top.P1070168

At the end of the class the teacher said—okay now that you know how to do fancy frosting you can go open a shop and sell cupcakes for $4 each. Made me realize how much of a rip off most cupcake shops are!

I took a cake decorating class one summer at BYU and it was super fun. I forgot most of what I learned & totally want to do it again.

And now I want a cupcake for breakfast.

We are so legit!!! Thank you for only taking pictures of your cupcakes. Bubba keeps wondering if the class is worth the money because mine were so ugly when I got home! Ha! I'll show him this week... ;) Hooray for class tomorrow! I'll try not to make us late next time :)

Oh it's so worth it! I took 2 classes and actually learned a lot. It was so fun learning all kinds of techniques and how to do cool flowers with royal icing, etc. Made me want to work in a bakery! So fun!
