Plum Street Prints: Shop Opening!

Guess what? I despise self promotion. Yes, that is a strong word and I use it strongly. I cannot stand when I am supposed to take someone’s advice about themselves or their business, knowing it will benefit them. So if you can’t stand it, feel free to stop reading. Really!

That being said, it’s kind of a must when you start your own shop. So I want to announce the opening of our online print shop—Plum Street Prints. Now if you have no interest in home prints, I will not be offended!

But if you are interested, my good friend Lori and I have been working hard to get our little shop ready. And though it’s only an Etsy shop, we’ve been hard at work designing prints, shapes, patterns, color schemes, and also developing contract terms of use, working on finances, creating logos and watermarks, and even helping friends on the side with logos and blog banners for their businesses. Yes, we’ve been busy! So if anything I’d like to announce our shop opening because I’m proud of everything we’ve done in a relatively short amount of time. We have completed over 100 prints, but will introducing them to the store gradually, to keep {hopefully} keep interest alive!

Now, for our pitch…

We love modern and personalized prints for the home, however we often found ourselves frustrated when looking for home art because of its relatively high price. $30 (plus shipping) for an 8x10 piece of paper? That wasn’t our idea of affordable. Our prints are modern and fresh, but available to purchase electronically so you can get them at a very good price ($10!) and then print them at home or your nearest copy center for a couple dollars. Or, if you wish, you can even print them to canvases or large format posters. Whatever you’d like! We’ll format each purchase to your sizing needs. In the future we hope to be able to offer physical prints for a small fee increase, however we haven’t been able to find a high-quality, low cost printer yet that meets our demands. Once we do, we will offer both electronic and hard-copy prints.

So go check us out! If you see something you like, we’ll send it to you quickly and you can print, frame, and admire it in your home this week. And if you have any ideas for prints you'd like done using quotes, pictures, themes, or colors you like, let us know and we'd be happy to work on something. We'd love to get input wherever we can.

Also, as I mentioned above, we are also available for custom work where time allows. We’ve already created several brand identities for friends and are happy to help with this, personalizing a nursery or home space for you, party décor and labels, or personalizing meaningful sayings/quotes/pictures in a way that matches your home and style.
