4 Months

This sweet girl is 4 months old today. We went to the doctor for her checkup this morning. It was my first double checkup—Emerson’s 2 year and Vieve’s 4 month—wow, it was crazy getting two kids undressed, checked, shots, etc.
The craziest part about the appointment was how close in size Vieve is to E’s 4 month stats. Here are hers with E’s below:
Genevieve: 11 lbs, 4 oz (10th %), 25 inches tall (80th%), 40.1 cm head circumference
Emerson: 11 lbs, 6 oz; 25.5 inches tall, 42.2 cm head circumference


During the past month she’s learned how to roll (but rarely does it, quite unlike her big bro), laughs all the time, smiles, coos, drools, and laughs or smiles at pretty much anything Emerson does. She is enamored with him. She sleeps through all 3 hours of church, sleeps while were out for dates or play trips for Emerson, loves having some one-on-one time with me in the afternoon while Emerson naps, and is still very content.
Not only is she completely opposite from Emerson because she barely moves at all on the floor and smiles at everyone, but she hates to be startled. We used to toss Emerson in the air or clap in front of his face, or squeal and he loved it. Genevieve does not like to be thrown, gets so scared with loud noises, and cries when she gets scared. She is such a girly girl! And you have to hear her cry—it is so so feminine. It sounds like a fake cry from a little girl in a movie. I have a feeling this is going to be one very sensitive little person!

Other good news for today: our new website launched for all our iPhone and iPod cases – www.PlumStreetPrints.com and I went running today with a friend. Running. Yes. It could barely be called that my surgery leg was so weak and I was so slow. But my surgeon gave me the go-ahead. It hurt a little but I’m really hoping my knee can keep improving so the running will get easier.
