This Christmas was bittersweet—the last Christmas in this house, but so much fun just being together with our little family of 4. We spent the morning opening gifts, eating cinnamon rolls, and going to church, then headed up to Mitch’s parents’ house for Christmas dinner. It is always fun for us to be at his family’s house because his parents and siblings love playing with and holding our kids. We almost don’t know what to do with ourselves.
In true Emerson fashion he woke up early on Christmas morning… he looked so shocked when he came downstairs. At first he wasn’t quite sure what to do with the presents, but then started ripping each of ours open for us. He only unwrapped the whole thing if there was something cool inside, like a toy.
Just sitting around at Mitch’s parents’ house with nothing to do but let everyone play with our kids.
We loved bringing Emerson to Temple Square and see the nativity/hear the reading of Luke 2 on Christmas Eve.
We love getting sushi with my family on Christmas Eve! Mitch’s favorite meal.
We drank lots of hot chocolate last week too! Thanks to Pioneer Woman for showing me how to make orange, peppermint, raspberry, and traditional hot chocolate.
We had fun babysitting Avery and Will. Avery loved holding little Vieve… for about 30 seconds.
And this week before heading out to MN, we did lots of relaxing with the kiddos. Love these babes to pieces.

I am sort of surprised that my kids didn't get up early. It looks to me like you had the perfect Christmas...family, eating, and family!
Get this baby outta me & get that sushi in my belly!
