A couple weeks ago Mitch’s brother and his amazing wife Becky came out and stayed with us for almost a week. When we first moved out here, they really wanted to come visit (but we advised them against coming in the winter ;). Then Mitch and his brother found out one of their favorite bands was playing in Minneapolis on October 1st. They booked their tickets and we had been counting down ever since!
We were sad Chloe couldn’t make it, but so glad Jeff & Becky got a little relax time kid-free (well that is until Emerson insisted they play with him every second of every day).
Emerson was infatuated with Jeff and wouldn’t let him out of his site.
We did our best at convincing them how wonderful our little town Maple Grove is, so they will move here. Lol that is our mission with every guest who comes, so beware if you come we’re going to give you the town sales pitch ;)
We went to a Twins game, Mall of America, pumpkin patches/apple orchards, parks, Trader Joe’s (the best perk of MG!), walks, and dinners. Becky and I cooked yummy food together and we watched movies together at night. We love these two and have the best time together. And our kids were just smitten with them. They were so sad when Jeff and Becky left and keep asking where they are.
Beck and I were able to attend the RS General Broadcast together.
The last night they were here was the Dispatch concert, and it was amazing. Definitely one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Because it’s one of our favorite bands we know every song and were rocking out to their acoustic guitars. The concert was at the Orpheum Theater, a cool old opera style playhouse in downtown Minneapolis. It was such a cool venue. We made a date out of it and got dinner before the show at one of our favorite places in the city.
We miss them already!
