I kept the kids upstairs all morning (breakfast in their rooms!) and didn’t bring Emerson down until right before his party. He was ecstatic. He kept saying “whoa thank you mom, thank you mom; this is amazing, thank you mom.” It made it definitely worth it! He loved the decorations. Wish I got more of the hanging rockets.
It’s kind of a strange age because the kids were mostly too young to come without their parents, so I just invited moms too! It was a lot of fun letting our kids run wild for a bit. We had food, hung out, sang happy birthday, ate cupcakes, and opened presents. Emerson was in heaven. The UPS man even came during the party with 2 packages for E (from his Grandma Terri and from my friend Jordan). It was a fun party!
As usual, all E wanted to eat was the fruit and veggies. He did eat some frosting off his cupcake too.
Emerson loved his birthday. All day he was singing “Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to Emerson…” And don’t even get me started on how much he loved the presents. He was obsessed with them. We’ve actually saved a couple in a box because he got so many it was toy overload. It was pretty funny and cute how into each gift he was. We sure love this boy. Happy birthday E!
