Mitch & Shannon: Leanne’s Wedding

I can’t type enough words to convey the thoughts of joy for Leanne and her wedding! This best friend of mine is pretty amazing and seeing her so happy has brought me to tears on many occasions. Flying out to be there for her was amazing, wonderful, and the happiest weekend. These two are such a powerhouse. Craig is so smart and fun, with a sensitive side that balances out Lea’s driven nature and charismatic personality. I was lucky enough to help Craig and Leanne with their wedding invites and signage, as well as the awesome infographic placemats for the reception so in working with them for several months before the wedding I got to see how well they worked together and how much Craig really loves her! Love you both!

Right after we flew in we spent the day at Craig’s parents’ house getting things ready! Painting signs, ironing linens, a million little errands that seemed like no work at all whilst chatting with these amazing ladies! That night we did a little “shower” at the outside patio of a restaurant nearby for Lea with her mom and sisters. We shared our favorite memories with Leanne, opened gifts, and showed Lea a little video of Craig talking about Leanne. It was such a wonderful night! The next day we got to work at the reception location – a backyard in Newport Beach. It was gorgeous. It looked like Disneyland. This family has a whole lot behind their house they’ve converted into a dream backyard with a pool, waterslide, dancing patio, and even a special secluded grassy area that was perfect for the reception dinner.

I was so grateful to be traveling and rooming with Jame! We had the best time catching up and gushing over Craig and Lea. I love Lea’s family! They’ve always been like a second family to me. So grateful to spend the weekend with them.

Wedding day! The sealing was so beautiful. What a special memory. I love the memories I have of my sealing to Mitch and the friends’ sealings I’ve been to in the years since. What a wonderful wonderful thing – eternal marriage! So glad Alaina made it down too! We had a blast with her and Tres. I mean, could Jamie be any more gorgeous?! Pure J O Y !

At the reception dinner. Some really lovely speeches by Lea & Craig. After dinner the dance party was so much fun… Lea’s single friends were so hilarious and fun and pulled us in to dance. We had a blast. At one point Lea’s mom and Craig’s mom both got into the circle and rocked out with us to “Call me Maybe”… seeing them dancing to that and Craig singing all the words really was just a fun moment.
