Seattle

In June Mitch was supposed to have a work conference in Seattle. He’s had several of these over the years and we always joke about how much fun he has with my family out there while I’m back in Minnesota with the kids. So for this conference I decided I’d fly out early with him and then he’d stay for his conference and I’d come home and get the kids from our friends. Well turns out just before the conference it got rescheduled for the fall, so Mitch wasn’t going anymore. So sad. I decided to use my ticket and go anyway to see my family. Had a great weekend with Dad & Tommie and loved seeing Jess while I was there too.

I was greeted by lots of rain and misty weather. It was so refreshing. Just love the northwest. Here’s the view on our ferry out to dad’s house on Whidbey Island. 2014-06-14 08.01.53

With Dad + Tommie on the ferry. Love these two!

Dad’s land has come such a long way since they first purchased it. It used to be a huge thicket of overgrown trees and weeds and now it’s looking so beautiful. They have tons of deer too.2014-06-14 08.54.002014-06-14 11.43.072014-06-14 13.58.15  2014-06-14 14.06.482014-06-14 14.15.41

We always visit Greenbank Farms for Whidbey Pies cafe. It’s such a beautiful place and the most amazing pies as well.2014-06-14 11.56.312014-06-14 13.15.50

Was great to spend father’s day with my dad. He has always been such a great dad to me and my sister – he is always there for us and we still talk to him at least 4 times a week! So grateful for him in my life. Made him some raspberry pancakes for breakfast. 2014-06-15 09.56.35

I spent my last day with Jess in the city. I love this girl! We have so much fun pretty much every second we are together. So grateful we met in college all those years ago, then had our kids at the same time. 2014-06-16 11.21.38-12014-06-16 11.16.312014-06-16 11.17.27
