So you may be asking--where has Shannon been for the past several weeks? Yes, my blog posts have become far more infrequent, but I have great excuses for this. The main burden of December was finals. For 2 weeks I was on campus for at least 6 hours a day writing papers and studying for tests. This included two 25 page papers written in 1 week. Secondly, Mitch and I have been so stressed trying to decide which city/job offer he should go with. It feels like such a big decision because wherever we go, it will likely be for a while. And lastly, the holidays. Packing, cleaning, baking, shopping, traveling to Texas, etc. It has been crazy! But we had an amazing trip at my sister's house--I will post pictures soon.

Highlights of the last several weeks include:

1) The "Shop Outside the Box" parade I helped put on in SLC. We marched through downtown to advocate shopping locally this holiday season. Here are some pics of Alyson and Ash and I decorating our boxes that we wore, eventually painted and decked out with facts about big box stores.


2) Spending time w/Jame: One of my best friends, Jamie Bryson, just got married on Saturday. As our one last hurrah during her engagement, we decided to double at Bucas--the over-filling, huge portion size Italian chain found in most major cities. What you may know about Jamie is that she is skinny skinny! But what you may not know is that the girl can eat!! Luckily she married Judd who can almost match her eating habits. They ordered 2 large menu items, intended to feed 8-10 people. Seriously. This is just one of the orders they split:
