On Friday night we hiked Mt. Timpanogos with our friends at midnight... this is by far one of the best hikes I've ever done; well worth the 15 miles and definitely a must-do Utah excursion! We got to the summit around 5am and watched the beautiful sunrise over the back of the Wasatch range. Although we'd been planning it for a while, nothing can prepare you for how tired you are after missing a full night of sleep. We are still recovering!
On the way up

Alison (can't believe how good she looks at 3am!) and me

The saddle... almost there!

At the summit! SOOO cold. Have never had to wear 2 coats, beanie, and gloves in August before.

View down to Utah County

Shale-encrusted switchbacks.

Sunrise

Faulkner-Robertson and Cornelius fams

Backside of Timp and the gorgeous meadow... we were standing on top of that little peak!

You guys are so cool! Why did you go at midnight? Methinks just so you could wear that headlamp... :)
look at you!
Wow! That looks amazing and must have taken a lot to hike all night. Awesome view and sunrise though!

Wow! Looks like we both have been spending time in caves. Now that I am staying another year, we need to share a meal! Come on down to Provo.
Wow I haven't seen Alison in such a long time. I'm impressed with how good both of you look! Fun.
I have always wanted to do this! Those pics are awesome.
