I am finally back! I was gone for two weeks visiting my sister and her adorable family. She and her husband had to go to a family wedding for the first weekend, so Mitch came out to help me watch the kids. Man, watching 5 kids is tiring! We were exhausted by the time the weekend was over, even though the kids were so fun. During the trip we went to the pool, worked out at the amazing Lifetime Fitness, cooked and baked, went running, played with the kids, and went to the beach. Some photos:
E’s first plane trip; he did awesome and barely made a peep. The woman in front of me turned around afterwards and saw I had a baby and said, “Wow, I didn’t even know you had a child back there; he was so quiet!” He loved the turbulence too… he was laughing every time the plane shook. So funny.
The nicest couple sat across the aisle from me; they have 6 kids who are now adults so they loved to have some baby time and play with Emerson.
When we dropped Mitch off at the airport the kids were so sad. They said “don’t go Uncle Mitchy”… so cute.
Play time. Emerson really held his own with the older kids, even with them whacking him and accidentally running strollers over his fingers. Caleb especially loved playing with E; he shared all his toys with him and would come sit by me when I was holding him.
Emerson’s first trip to the beach; he loved wading out into the ocean water.
It is always so great to see my sister; we laugh all the time together and have fun with whatever we’re doing, even if it’s cleaning or changing dirty diapers. Our husbands always give us this look like, “what are you guys laughing about now??” Can’t wait for our next trip to see them.

So fun! What could be better than last week... beaching and pooling it? Thanks for your patience with our crazy life.
Glad you survived & had fun. And okay, since E loved the ocean, it only further confirms that you MUST make a trip out here in Aug!
Oh how I miss Texas (although I hear it is pretty hot and humid right about now!) Hopefully I can make it back there pretty soon. Glad you guys had fun!
I loved that he loved turbulence! He is so funny. So glad you had fun- I love that you guys laugh all the time.
I was wondering where you were. "SoSaLa" (South Salt Lake) misses you.
Sisters are the best! You are the cutest aunt and mom. Seriously. I'm glad Emerson is a good traveler. We are flying to California in a month with the kids...we'll see how Hannah does.
