Rachel’s Baby Shower

You may remember a while back I posted about our good friends who were looking to adopt. They were told the typical time it took for a baby to be placed with adoptive parents was 3-5 years , so they were prepared for a long couple of years. Well, miracles really do happen and it took only 4 months until a birth mother had selected Paul and Rachel. Their little girl was born in June. I could not be more excited for anyone to have a baby. These two were born to be parents… they are fun and energetic but so responsible as well. Jordan and I threw a small shower for Rachel and her sweet baby Adalaide last weekend; we had so much fun planning and attending. Congratulations Rachel! Aren’t they cute together?IMG_0130

Jordan and I stayed up way too late getting ready… and our husbands made us promise we wouldn’t throw any more showers for a while. I think women have the tendency to go slightly overboard when planning things.IMG_0124 IMG_0105

Not only is Adalaide cute, but she is the best baby. Last week we did a girls’ night out and she slept through dinner and a movie. And her cry is so soft it just sounds like a whimper. Newborns are adorable.

That is THE cutest party. Sheesh! Way to out-do anyone and everyone that's ever thrown a baby shower. :) Did you LOVE the oreo pops? Those are my fav. Always a hit!! And easier than cake pops, too. The place cards were so cute, too. Do you remember that whole conversation we had about not going overboard or doing everything to make a party just perfect? Haha! This seriously looks incredible. I bet everyone had a blast and gave you tons of compliments. So glad she had a good time and that they had this little baby girl placed in their family!

Absolutely the most beautifully laid out, well planned shower I've ever seen - I can tell even in the pictures that it was PERFECT. A specialized logo just for the shower tops the event I think. Love everything about it. Rachel looks so happy and radiant holding little Adelaide. I'm so happy for her! Way to go!! No one plans a party like you. :)

Lor, you are so right! We kept talking about how we were doing too much... what is it about us women? We just don't know when to stop do we? I mean I don't think the guests really needed oreo pops and cupcakes and caramel corn and a candy bar, right?

ps, oreo pops = much easier than cake pops and taste better.

Thanks so much Shannon! It was such an awesome shower, and meant so much to me that you and Jordan put so much thought into it! You are the best!
