Great-Grandma’s Stocking & Last Holiday Post

I’m trying to get caught up on my pictures from the break as well as write about 2010, 2011, and my pregnancy, but thought I’d post one more Christmas thought, specifically to show off the amazing personalized stockings my grandma makes for all the great grand kids. After we told her we were expecting baby #2, she quickly said, “Oh I’ll need to make another stocking!” She is the cutest.IMGP2305

We’ll be putting our holiday décor away this week… we don’t have much but it sure makes the house feel more homey than normal. I serve with an older woman in our stake who decorates with 20 small and large Christmas trees throughout her house, along with train sets, lights, snow villages, and more. It may sound a bit over the top, and maybe it was, but it was the most comforting Christmas home I’d ever been in. Maybe one day…

Mitch’s grandma and aunt have also perfected the family caramel recipe, which they kindly gave to me this year. We not only passed them out as our holiday treats to friends, but ate mounds of them ourselves.
