I’m really relieved we initially decided to paint this room a taupe color before Emerson was born—made it very simple to transition to a girl’s room!
My mom and I made the bumper, fitted sheet, and crib skirt. I made the quilt on the chair and the blanket to match the bedding, as well as the prints in the room.
For some reason, I really wanted purple with orange bedding—between a couple different fabric lines and making my own piping for the bumper, I was able to pull off just what I wanted! Feminine but still a little funky and modern.
More artwork to come above the bed once we get her birth info print done and some name signage up!
Vous êtes mon soleil print. She already is!
Can’t wait for our little babe to reside in here. My favorite place to sit in the whole house is that glider—did I ever mention it reclines and glides at the same time?? With Emerson I spent many nights sleeping in that amazingly comfortable seat.

Love the lanterns. I think they are my favorite part. If I ever have a girl, I am totally putting them in her room.
And the fabric in action?! Perfect.
Great room. Very cute without being too girly. Love the purple.
I love that you chose purple! I would choose the same for a little girl too! So darling! I made my baby bedding too! Cant wait to see her!
Now i want to see a picture of E's new room with the bunkbeds!
