Busy Week.

Our Plum Street Prints phone case was featured on the best fashion blog Atlantic-Pacific this week, and as a result we’ve been super busy. It’s funny because people keep soliciting us to be on deal sites or wanting to re-sell our cases, but we literally have to turn them all down because we don’t have the time to do that much work. It’s interesting how running your own business is really about finding that sweet spot, where you have enough work but not too much. Lori and I are both stay-at-home moms, so we only want to work during naptime and in the evening. Anything more than that means we are basically work-at-home moms!

Above is the case that Blair Eadie purchased from us a couple weeks ago. I remember designing the case, seeing her name on the order and thinking, Wow, Blair Eadie! But I didn’t mention anything because I thought it would be lame to say, “Hey we know who you are! We love you!” Etc. Then on Monday I was jumping through some posts in my Reader and saw our case! The funny thing is that with all the traffic coming to our shop from her site, almost every new customer purchased the exact same case that Blair has. Isn’t that hilarious? Lori and I found it so funny that people would decide to copy someone rather than have their own look or style. I’d definitely prefer to have something unique.

A couple months ago when we were featured on Studio5 we had a lot of traffic, and then it died down somewhat so we’re hoping this extreme busy-ness subsides soon.

In addition to working a lot, I’ve been watching Hutch every afternoon for the past two weeks. Emerson has loved having his bud around. I’ll post some pictures soon!

We’re getting ready for General Conference this morning by making Cinnabon-clone cinnamon rolls! Here’s to a relaxing and inspiring conference weekend.

We'll be enjoying those same cinnamon rolls too! And I won't feel bad about all those delicious calories either.
