We had so much fun this weekend. 4 couples, 5 kids, 1 cabin, and lots of fun. Staying up late, cooking, playing with kids, reading, sledding, and taking in the scenic Utah mountains. I especially love the Aspen trees. Do you ever have random friend connections with people that you know from different places? I find that to be the case with many of my friends! Jess is my good friend from BYU (and has kids the exact same age as ours) and Candace is in my ward now... and the two of them did Italy study abroad together at BYU! Love having friends come together.
The funniest part of the weekend had to be piling us all in the 2 SUVs that could make it up the snowy road to the cabin! Haha… 5 carseats, 8 adults, 3 pack n plays, sleds and all our snow gear!! It was hilarious. If I wasn’t squished in the car when it happened I could have snapped a picture.
After making dinner we gave the kids baths and had storytime. They slept terribly while we were there! When a toddler is in a pack n play in your room, there is no way they can sleep well. Emerson woke up at 5:30am and started yelling “MOMMY! DADDY!” After you’ve stayed up until 2:30am talking with your friends, 5:30 is not a great time for a pleasant awakening.
Jess made an awesome French toast breakfast with the cinnamon burst bread from Great Harvest. It makes awesome French toast.
We spent a lot of time outside playing in the snow and sledding down the big hill on the road in front of the cabin. As always, Emerson loved it! He was laughing the whole time, even when we’d send him down by himself! I love our little daredevil boy.
I am grateful to have friends who are so good with our kids. They loved getting attention from so many people. Thank you to Candace and her awesome family for letting us spend a great weekend at the cabin!

You are so photogenic, it's ridiculous. And pink puffy jacket, how I've missed you!
Such a fun overnighter! And you really are so photogenic. I totally had the same thought as I went through my pictures! Thanks for driving us around and letting me hold and play with your cute kids.
Fun winter weekend!
Also - love your nail polish color. And I think that the pink puffy coat is the best investment you ever made. Whoever says, you won't get that much use out of a pink coat, needs to have a talk with you! It makes me happy every winter when I see it!
Um and the backgrounds in the pics of you, Mitch, & E look almost fake. So pretty! Love the mountains.
LOVED this weekend, love you.
