How is it that Genevieve turns one today?! I cannot believe how this year has whizzed by. Must have been all the huge things that have happened in our lives since sweet little Vieve came along. She has been our biggest blessing through the huge events of the year – a baby, knee surgery, a huge move across the country, and a new job for Mitch—and through all of it she has been happy and sweet. We don’t know what we’d do without our little Vieve!
My friend Katie is an awesome photographer for Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine. She took some pictures of Genevieve for her birthday and I just love how they turned out! I cannot believe someone can take shots like this straight out of the camera with no editing—but they capture Genevieve’s personality perfectly. We love the photos and we love this little girl!

So glad I finished her quilt before she was one so we could use it in her pictures. Must learn not to procrastinate so much.

These pictures were much different with Genevieve than with Emerson… during his 1 year shots he wouldn’t sit still for one second. But Oh this sweetie just sat there and posed! Love my little girl.

Vievers is cruising, busy, into everything, pulling all items out of shelves and cupboards, and pretty dirty by the end of the day from crawling around so much. She is happy, cackles for Emerson, calls for ma-ma when she’s sad, waves hi to everyone she meets, and goes crazy for Mitch. Our little daddy’s girl. She goes with the flow, likes to be around people, and after such a busy year I can’t help but just love her so much for that. Thank you Vieve-y for being my little sweetheart. I love you so much it makes my heart hurt. Happy birthday.
