Since we moved here, Mitch has been able to go to a couple games with friends who had tickets, but we still hadn’t taken Emerson. A couple weekends ago he got some good deals on some seats so he decided to take Emerson. I think Mitch has been waiting Emerson’s whole life for this moment, lol. He thought Emerson might last a couple innings but they got there early and Emerson lasted the whole game and wanted to stay after the game was over! They were almost the last people to leave the stadium. For a 2 year-old who can’t usually sit still for more than 2 minutes, this was a minor miracle, and Mitch loved it. He’s loving Emerson’s love for baseball.
This kid was talking about the game all day. Can we go daddy, can we go? He was so ready to get out the door.
Vieve wanted in on the hats too.
Yes I am the lame mom who took a picture of them as they were leaving in Mitch’s car! I was so excited for Emerson.
I’d say it was a success. They ate hot dogs and ice cream. Every time someone hit the ball Emerson would jump up and throw both hands in the air and scream “YEAHHH!!” Mitch said it was hilarious to see how into the game Emerson was. I’m sure there will be many more MLB games in the future.

What a big day for Emerson! I am so glad he had a wonderful time. There is something very special about our stadium, it has such a great vibe to it. Love that place!
That's so fun. We can't get River to watch any sports on tv, but maybe he'll like an actual game one day. Mitch did a great job of remembering to take pics while they were at the game. I'm impressed. Pics don't happen in this family unless I am there.
