I’m very behind on blogging because we’ve been so busy and out of town for much of July. It seems there is just too much to do every day and week! Can you believe Genevieve is 1? I still can’t. Where did my baby go?!
At 1 Genevieve is sweet and happy, a little bit sassy but only if you try to make her walk, and pretty wiggly. She loves to clap and wave, she talks all the time in a gibberish kind of way and just loves people. She is definitely still so much different than Emerson at this age! Emerson was very quiet but loved running and chasing balls. Genevieve is so verbal and just really personable. I love this cutie!
At her 1 year appt (which Mitch took her to while I was at my aunt’s funeral – amazing dad he is!), she was just slightly smaller than E at this age:
- Height: 29 inches (Emerson was 31 inches)
- Weight: 19 lbs. (Emerson was 21 lbs.)
Some tidbits about Vieve at age 1:
- She loves to dance. When music is on she holds onto the couch or ottoman to stand up, and bounces up and down.
- When we try to get her to walk, she points her toes in a super girly way and starts squealing. How did I get such a dainty daughter?!
- She loves Emerson and is pretty much always happy if he is around. In the car they play peekaboo together, he holds her hand, and every morning he runs into her room and screams “GENEVIEVE CLAIRE!” It’s really cute. And since she’s been waking up at almost 9am every day, Emerson and I have some play time together in the morning.
- She loves food! Cheese, veggies, fruit, yogurt, and especially grilled cheese sandwiches. ]
- Completely terrified of dogs. I was looking back on Emerson’s one-year info and noticed I’d written then about how much emerson was obsessed with dogs. Vieve is 100 % opposite. She screams with terror when a dog comes near her. Oh Vieve! Maybe someday you’ll be tough, but even so we love you so much. If there was a personality type called “girly-girl” this one would typify it! People person, smiley, happy, sensitive, and a little scared.
Love you Vievers!
