Oh man, I have approximately a thousand photos from a trip shy of 2 weeks. Probably because we had so much fun I wanted to remember every milli-second. I love Utah. Yes it has it’s weird quirks, but what place doesn’t? And there are so many wonderful people and places there it makes up for anything troubling (you know like eyelash extensions and plastic surgery ;).
We went to Utah for Ryan’s wedding but made a family vacation out of it and did lots of stuff while we were there. It was gorgeous weather and though we were exhausted from moving the day before, we had the best time.
{This is our family journal so get ready for a photo overload.}
Ahh, traveling at 6am with 3 kids under age 4. Aren’t you jealous? ;) This flight was over $100 pp cheaper than others so when you have to buy 4 tickets, you just go with the cheapest. The kids were a tad cranky that day.
Cramming into grandma’s car. Mitch’s mom let us borrow her car for the whole trip! Such a blessing.
All the kids wanted to do at Grandma & Grandpa’s house was play on their boat and Sea Doos.
That night we went down to our best friend’s house to hang and have a slumber party. Our kids are all the same age and gender. What are the odds of that? Jordan and I have been pregnant together 3 times! Also our kids love each other. And we love each other. It’s pretty much a win-win-win-win-win. Love the Page fam!!
Check out the boys. Emerson, Henry, Beck & Hutch. Emerson and Hutch had so much fun together sleeping in the same room, playing in the bounce house, and going crazy on the trampoline. Those boys play so well together.
Genevieve & Priya, ha that was another story. Both these girls have the same personality—sassy! So it was tough for them to share the attention. But they did still show love and play together. We will force them to be friends. They’re only 3 weeks apart so they’ll have to be ;)
Bounce house in the basement. Also media room and foosball table. The kids were in heaven.
We had the most fun night. Really haven’t laughed so long and hard in a while! Here are Bubba & Mitch trying Jordan’s 3rd batch of burnt cinnamon rolls!! Oh man it was so funny. We talked all night and stayed up until 2am (remember how we moved the day before that, and I’d been up since 2:45am that morning. Wow I was SO tired!).
The next morning we were up bright and early to head to Mitch’s bro’s wedding while Jord & Bubba watched the kids during the sealing (that was the best idea to not take them until picture time).
Ryan’s whole life he got called mini-Mitch ;) And Mitch’s mom made this dress for Vieve!
Our family, 8 years after we got married at this Temple!
With Mitch’s mom & sis ;)
Henry loved Carly!
We then had a luncheon that afternoon and reception that evening. We were exhausted. But the next day was Henry’s baby blessing—no rest for this fam!
Look at this cutie! The happiest baby alive. I love him to pieces. It was so fun blessing him in Mitch’s parents’ ward.
It was wonderful having our best friends and family there! I cried it was such a perfect day.Leanne flew out from CA for the blessing!! Love my bestie.
Mitch’s parents threw an awesome BBQ afterwards. We soaked it up with all the people we love there. Oh Utah you have my heart.
Miss Chels so much! The most amazing woman in the world right here.
Lea & Jame and I had so much fun reuniting and reminiscing about the college days and Lea’s love interest. Girl talk is pretty fun with such wonderful ladies.
You’ll never believe it but the next day was Mitch’s 30th birthday! So to recap in case you feel as tired as I do just thinking about this trip: August 1st: we moved, August 2nd: flew to Utah, August 3rd: wedding, August 4th: blessing & party, August 5th: Mitch’s 30th. I estimate I had a total of 15 hours of sleep across those 5 days.
So for Mitch’s birthday our first order of business was sleeping in! Sounds lame but we needed it. We had such a fun relaxing morning and loved celebrating daddy’s 30th! Luckily Mitch’s parents have a 3 bedroom basement apartment complete with kitchen and living room so we had our own place to live for the trip. This cuddle bag in the basement TV room was the kids’ favorite. We opened presents and then got ready for our 3 day trip to Park City.
The drive to Park City was pretty idyllic I’d say. I mean wow, you forget how gorgeous Park City is. When I did my internship up there at The Canyons I was up at least 3 times a week and I think I took for granted how lovely the area is.
View from Jenny’s family’s cabin!
We felt pretty lucky to spend time in Park City with some of our best friends in the world the Hamiltons and Degraffs. We love these families to pieces. We have so much fun joking together, singing 90s ballads, making homemade rootbeer, commentating on the world, discussing Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me and other NPR treasures, crying at hysterical YouTube videos, and playing games until late into the night. I cried when we left Park City. I love these people so much.
Making homemade rootbeer for Mitch’s bday.
When you live in Minnesota you cannot sit outside at night on a deck in the forest and enjoy a nice summer breeze. You will get approximately 200 bug bites. It was so nice being in Utah again for some gorgeous dry summer evenings!
Isn’t Diana gorgeous? We had the funniest girls’ adventure driving all over Park City to find coconut syrup for dirty Diet Cokes. When we couldn’t find it anywhere, we decided to just make it
Penelope & Genevieve born 5 days apart!
Jenny is pregnant, I had to stay with Vieve and Henry, so everyone else went but us. I miss her pretty much more than you can imagine.
Cafe Rio!! Man I missed this place so much and then when we ate there it was just meh to me. What has happened to me?
Our game nights were so funny I almost peed my pants. Imitations of Beyonce’s single ladies had to be one of my favorite moments.
I think the candy contributed to our loopy-ness.
I love driving by Timp… every time I think how fun it was when we stood on the TOP of that highest ridge. The mountains in Utah are just plain gorgeous.
After Park City it was on to my favorite place on earth… BYU. Best years of my life here. I am so lucky to have met my amazing husband here, strengthened my testimony more than I ever thought possible, had professors I am still friends with and talk on the phone to, had the best majors and learned more than I ever thought I could, and made the best lifelong friends I could ever imagine.
No trip to BYU is complete without chocolate milk, J-dawgs, and Kneaders.
After spending a day in Utah County with my mom, spending the next day at the Fighter Jet flight museum at Hill Airforce Base (Emerson was in heaven!), we finally got some time for a date night in Salt Lake. Sure love this man.Oh how we’ve missed our favorite sushi joint. Red Ginger please come to Minnesota. The only good sushi here is $20 a roll. Everything you see below cost us $25. Not joking.
The Lifetime in Utah is like being home! Love Lifetime. Chels and I had the BEST workout I’d ever had. I think I’m still sore 10 days later.
Oh the London girls, I’ve missed you so much! We missed everyone else that couldn’t be there. We had such a fun time together! Cannot believe we all lived together in London almost 9 years ago. We are old.
Jare bear playing with Henry at the park. Her Magnolia is such a doll. I hope she marries Henry.
Emerson loved Mitch’s parents’ dog Cocoa. He took her on walks, played with her every day, and chased her around the house until she was either too scared or tired to run anymore.
We were so lucky to have a dinner with all our close friends from our old ward at our favorite Indian restaurant. Oh Bombay House no one compares to you. I could drink mango lassis all night and eat your korma every meal.
Red Mango treat stop for late night friend convo… I still can’t stop thinking about Jordan’s hilarious business idea. Oh my goodness so many fun convos with old friends.
Couldn’t you just drive up different Utah canyons every day? They are unreal.
This is hilarious. Check out how bad Mitch’s dad is at taking photos with a camera on the iPhone!! Every.single.one. Oh Steve, thanks for trying ;)
Don’t you want a fresh raspberry shake from a tiny country stop on the way home from boating?
We had a fun game night with Mitch’s parents.
Our kids love Steve & Terri.
Mitch’s mom has embroidered all these blankets for our kids when they’re born! We love them!
Traveling back home. At 6am again. Oh joy. The kids were SO sad to leave grandpa! :(
At least they had the trusty iPad to console them.
And then we came home to this. ;(((((
The end. This post is just making me exhausted thinking about our whirlwind month! Farewell until next time Utah.

So fun! Worth the travel days, but the moving pics made me exhausted too. I am glad I got to see you. It felt so normal. It didn't feel like it had been over a year and a half at all.
This post made me so tired!! You guys are crazy! But man, so fun getting together with old friends. We'll get together one day :)
