I have officially been tagged by Ashley Lefrandt. Sorry it's taken so long Ash:) I tag Michelle, Jare, Bree, and Jamie Stum. Here are some random and completely unimportant things you may not know about me...1) I am completely obsessed with and dependent upon alt-tab when using any computer. I love shortcut keys and toggling … watch out if you’re looking at my screen—it may be hard to keep up!
2) Around the age of 4 I was always making my family call me by different names and largely would not respond to anything but my chosen name. The best of these was my “Buckwheat”; I will never live this down…3) When I was younger I was in the math Olympics in Washington … yes a mathlete!! Most people that know me now would wonder if this was even possible given my abhorrence toward math, but I assure you it was real.
4) In one of my English classes at BYU we were assigned to write a research paper about something we are passionate about. I chose to write about the dangers and absurdities of the fast-food industry. I told my teacher about my topic, how I planned to review articles about major FF companies, conduct in-depth secondary research, etc. He said it wasn’t good enough and I needed to show him I was really passionate about this. So the next day I went to McDonald’s and applied for a job. I was hired and yours truly worked at the Provo McDonald’s on Bulldog for 2 ½ weeks. It was honestly the most miserable experience of my life … it took place during my engagement and came home crying to Mitch and Elise every night. However, I got a good paper out of it that greatly helped me get into my graduate program.
5) I am completely addicted to carbs… I’m sure many of you might remember the Atkins diet craze circa 2003. Clearly this was not the kind of diet I could ever in a million years be a part of. Being the little carb-lovers that we are, Elise and I decided to go on an all-carb diet. Bagels, pasta, bread, cereal, baguettes, rice—you name it. The amazing thing is that we each lost 10 pounds! 6) When I was younger my uncle lived in Washington used to rent horror flicks all the time. One night he brought home Stephen King's IT. Let’s just say after watching that I was traumatized. I made my mom check the shower drain every morning before I took a shower to check for the horrifying clown, I had nightmares about clowns until I was 14, and still get the creeps when I see them. Sorry I won't be posting a picture of the movie cover, but google it if you're unsure. Creeeepy.

cameron avoids the mouse at all costs and loves the alt tab thing too. it makes me nervous how fast he does it.
you are my hero for working at McDonalds. i still love their fries though, sorry.
Yes! I love it that I got 2 shout-outs on the Tag.
I loved the carb only diet. That was the skinniest I have been in a long time (like since I was 12)! Too bad I had negative amounts protein & vegetables and never worked out, so I wasn't at all healthy. Remember the Jamba Juice diet freshman year?!
You should have posted the picture of you in your McDonald's uniform. The visor was hot Shan!
I can't believe I forgot the picture! Much better with it. Thanks :)
Wow, that is so incredible that you worked at McDonald's for a paper. I love it. Also, I absolutely hate the movie IT as well and can still remember the freaky clown in the moon.
YES! The picture makes it!
Shannon... AMAZING. How come I have never heard about your McDonalds job!?!?
I am suprised you didn't want to tell people that WE used to work at KRISPIE KREMES!!! AAAAAH!!!
