Back from the crazy weekend of camping to find mass amounts of emails and build up at work. Can we ever get away?? I had to turn my phone off just to keep from checking emails! Here is an update of what I actually did this weekend (revised from my original itinerary post):
-Camped on the Vegas strip (much different than my last trip staying at the Paris Hotel; let's just say we were surrounded by RVs sporting more NASCAR stickers than I'd ever seen)
-Stood at ground zero at the Nevada Nuclear Test Site, got exposed to radioactive particles just by breathing in the air, learned about how we nuked animals in the 50s to test the effects of the bombs
-Climbed red rocks, went on a sunrise run, and hiked to petraglyphs at the Valley of Fire in Nevada
-Camped in a blizzard at Great Basin National Park and discovered the Lehman Caves of stalactite and stalagmite (below)
-Learned about the environmental teachings of Brigham Young (!)

So I have a feeling there's a reason you didn't say you had the time of your life...am I correct?
How fun! I hope you don't have a third arm when I see you :)
I think I've been to the Valley of Fire. It was such a short stop though. Looks fun.
