Loser Line

I heard this on the radio this morning… it is quite possibly one of the best and funniest ideas I’ve ever heard of! It’s called the Loser Line, a telephone line set up by our local radio station 97.1 to help women ward off unwanted men.

Here’s how it works: women call the radio station to get a private phone number (given to them off air). Generally these would be women who get picked up a lot and get asked for their phone numbers repeatedly. When unwanted men ask for their phone number or pester them to get it, women simply give out this secret Loser Line number. The men call and get a standard message (“Hey it’s me, leave a message.”) from a girl. The guys typically leave weird-o messages. The DJs then play these hilarious stalker-ish messages on air!!
