While we were in LA, we also got to celebrate Mitch’s birthday his favorite way—at Dodger Stadium! He has been wanting to take me for years. Not only was Mitch named after a Dodger but has been an avid watcher, stat counter, and lifelong fan. He was a little scared to take his pregnant wife to Dodger Stadium (a guy got shot there at a game he went to in high school!), but he was mostly excited for us.
I also found out that Dodger Stadium is the 3rd oldest stadium in the country, and I’ve now been to the 3 oldest: Fenway, Wrigley, and Dodger Stadium! I think the next oldest is some superdome from the 70s—the classics have all been rebuilt.
We got to meet up with great friends for the game…
{Good thing Mitch bought me a Dodgers’ hat the first month we were married—all the opposing fans were getting yelled at… }
And of course Mitch had me get a Dodger Dog—my first hot dog in over 5 years! Loved the game, but sorry hon, still don’t like hot dogs.
Oh Dodger Stadium… I loved you, but didn’t love seeing a fight in the stands and watching someone get arrested outside the park!
Our friends took us to post-game treats at Diddy Reise—the place I keep hearing was the idea knocked off by Smart Cookie. Really good cookies! Much better than Smart Cookie.

Thank you for introducing me to these amazing new restaurants - I wouldn't be up to date on the latest gourmet treats without you! Oh and the look on your face with that hot dog is priceless. Apparently you are not so excited about it as cute Mitchy.
I hate hot dogs too!!!! Matt keeps trying to get me to like them...but no. I threw one up when I was 9 and the smell makes me gag. I need to go to that cookie place the next time we're in LA! And I'm sad we didn't get to join you for the game :( Next time I won't be such a slacker and write back sooner!
I am jealous that you went to a Dodger game, and I cannot believe you did not like your Dodger dog!!! They are a classic part of Dodger games! We can't wait to see you guys!!! We'll be there in a couple weeks!- Amanda
