Photos

A couple weeks ago my dad sent me this camera. It was boxed with a bunch of stuff I don’t know how to use like a portrait lens and external flash. Yikes. Right now I’m just trying to figure out the basics, but that can be a challenge for someone who is averse to manuals and instruction pamphlets. I honestly asked Mitch if he could just figure out how to use it and then tell me. My good friend Jylare is also an amazing photographer and she taught me some tricks to help get started…

This machine really makes taking pictures so easy. Don’t worry, I won’t be starting my own photo business/photo blog (no offense, but c’mon how many of these are there now?!), but I’m sure excited to be able to take better pics of Emerson. Here are some from the park the other day with my friend and her cute boy Saiji.

IMGP1294 IMGP1353 IMGP1325 Just love that little guy. THANK YOU dad!

Mitch is on a business trip today/tomorrow to AZ and then again next week to a conference in Mississippi (who hold conferences there anyways?), so I am finding things to do with my time tonight like watch Oprah recordings, paint picture frames, and blog while the dinner dishes sit in the sink. Sometimes when Mitch is gone I get a lot of cleaning accomplished, but today is not one of those days.

I love the color in the pictures. You really should start a photo blog. There are not enough of those:):):)

Someday we will have an awesome camera. The one Steve wants is $1100. I would use it for the same thing...taking pictures of my kids. Emerson would be cute no matter what camera took his picture.

Ooh that is so exciting! I'm still laughing at your comment about photo blogs! It's totally the new thing, and so overdone. Like I know about 20 "photographers" these days. Interesting...
