Arizona

Two weekends ago (only two days after returning from Chicago), Mitch got asked to go down to his company’s Arizona offices for a last-minute work meeting. Because it was so last minute, over the weekend, and because they were flying his company’s plane down, they invited me and Emerson to come. There was extra room on the plane and they already had a hotel room for Mitch. I was really, really exhausted after Chicago and believe me the last thing I wanted to do was travel, but I missed Mitch and wanted to see my good friend Lori who lives in Phoenix.

Flying private planes is seriously the way to go! (Because we can really afford that, right??) I felt like I had the best and worst flying experiences of my life within a 5 day period. We showed up to the hangar 5 minutes before the plane left. 45 minutes later we were in AZ. The hangar company and plane pilots also provides snacks and drinks before and during the flight. The best part was Emerson got to crawl around and play during the whole flight. Mitch gets to fly in the jet often, so he wasn’t phased by it, but I definitely thought it was pretty cool.

Maria Maria for dinner; it was gourmet Mexican food, which we’d never had but loved.

Lori spent so much time with me and E during the days while Mitch was working… thanks for hanging out with us Lor! We had a great time with you and your kiddos.

Kate & E… just a couple months apart.

Benson accidentally sat on E’s head when he was walking backwards and fell… here is the rug burn on E’s face! Lori felt so bad, but E wasn’t seriously hurt so it will just help make him tougher, right?

When we got back to Utah it was 40 degrees and sleeting rain and snow. Sure made me miss the 75 degree temps in AZ.
