7 Months

This little sweetie is growing up so fast… hard to believe she’s already 7 months old.

I still cannot believe how different my kids are. Genevieve barely moves. She lies there and smiles and coos and loves to watch her brother but is just so calm herself. By this age Emerson was really mobile and almost cruising. Genevieve loves to cuddle and is very content. I am seriously loving it. It makes having 2 kids much easier.

However, I do feel a little bit bad for her. Sometimes she seems so helpless! This morning I laid her on the floor in her room on a blanket and gave her a bottle while Emerson was playing and I was putting laundry away. Genevieve kept dropping her bottle and instead of trying to crawl after it to pick it up, she just screamed in this really sissy, airy squeal. It was almost comical! How did I get such a dainty little girl? At that age if Emerson dropped something he would have just gone and picked it up.

Genevieve loves her fruits and veggies, playing peek a boo, and loves sleeping. While Emerson has always been an early riser, this babe wakes up around 8:30 every morning. She also takes 3 naps a day still, each about 2 hours. If she only gets a short nap while we’re out, she’ll make up for it by taking a 3-4 hour nap later in the day.

I love my sweet babe! She has been such a trooper since we moved here and just seems to go with the flow. I feel so lucky to be her mom.  And just for fun, here are a couple pictures of Emerson at 7 months. These kids are like little twins.
