Easter

We had a really nice Easter yesterday, with just our little family. Vieve seemed a little confused by all of it, but Emerson was loving it. It’s so fun to have him come down the stairs, see his little basket of books and toys, and start screaming, “what’s THAT? what’s THAT?” over and over. We had a fun morning.

They played with their buckets all day. And they even loved the plastic eggs that didn’t have anything in them. Hey, don’t wanna set their expectations too high at such a young age, right?IMG_3861

I made herbed salmon, asparagus, potatoes, and bread for dinner. Then we went on a family walk on the trail behind our house. What a nice day it was!IMG_3891

When I woke up yesterday morning, everyone was still asleep. I had some time to read the story of the Resurrection in Matthew. I am grateful that Easter can be celebrated with joy in our faith, knowing that Christ is Risen and that we will be too. Yesterday in Church a speaker read a story about a little boy who was physically handicapped and died at a young age. What meaning the resurrection must have for people with physical handicaps and ailments. I am grateful that through the resurrection we will all overcome those. Happy Easter!

We give our kids mostly books in their baskets too! Quiet time on any morning is a gift, but more so on Easter Sunday. What a great day you had!
