House Tour

I’ve had a lot of requests for pictures of our new place—sadly realizing that many of our friends and family may never make it out to Minnesota (sniffle) I thought I should throw some up on the blog and I’m just now getting around to doing it. (The nice thing about having a private blog is knowing some stranger won’t be able to look up our house!) Mostly the same stuff, just a new house for it. We had to get some rugs for the hardwood floors and I got some new pillows too. Our home is a twin home here, attached on one side to another house. Even though it was built 11 years ago, the owners took really good care of it. They even had the walls already painted in colors we liked. Score! The pictures are a little grainy because I took them with my phone, but you get the idea.

Notice the storm door! Every house here has one.IMG_4001

Our TV armoire didn’t fit downstairs so it’s now upstairs in our master bedroom.IMG_3780

Kind of a dark picture but it shows the awesome yard we have outside. It is shared with all the other homes around it and also has a nice sledding hill. In the afternoon the kids play outside and Emerson loves to tag along. (I stand in the kitchen watching him ;)

Here is the upstairs hallway looking down from our bedroom. You can’t really see it, but the laundry room is just on the right. It is so nice having a laundry room upstairs!IMG_3762

I also moved our family gallery wall upstairs.IMG_3702

The bathroom has no door to it! Ha! It kind of creeped me out at first, but at least the toilet room and closet have doors ;)IMG_3745

Emerson loves his huge closet. He plays in there all the time.IMG_2809

The downstairs hall bathroom is a rose pink color. It looks a little brighter here than it actually is. At first I thought it was a little crazy but I love it now! Perfect space to have a funky little room.

Here’s part of the yard. There’s a park just across the street and we connect up with the huge trail system just a couple blocks away.IMG_4007

IMG_4008That’s pretty much it. We have a two car garage and the pantry is under the stairs. Doesn’t feel 100% like home yet, but we really like this little house!

Shannon, your home is so beautiful, and it's lovely to see the spacious back yard area without any snow! Looks like Spring is in full force there now! Will you plant a garden?
Hugs,
Mom

We've been in our house for about six months, and it still doesn't quite feel like home. Your home is beautiful! I do love moving into a new place and putting my own touches. You've done a great job!

I love it all! It is so you. This makes me sad though. But I will come visit. What is a storm door?

Suburb heaven! I dream of all of this - the laundry room, big kitchen, backyard... sigh. Looks so great!
