Catch Up

Life has been extremely busy the past month! I know life always seems to be busy, but on top of normal activities I’ve been working every day in the shop while Lori took some much needed time with her sweet new baby. She did the same thing for me when Genevieve was born and when I had my knee surgery, and wow it really made me grateful to have such a dependable business partner! Even though I’m tired I’m grateful to repay the favor.

On top of our normal shop busy-ness, we’ve been working over the past two months on a new logo, design, and website for Plum Street Prints. We launched our new site on Monday and are thrilled with the new look of the site as well as the awesome logo work done by QA Design. It’s funny to be a design company and pay someone else to do your logo, but really we just didn’t have time to work on it!

I’ve still been playing volleyball on Weds. nights. On Tuesdays Mitch goes mountain biking with some friends and on Thursdays the guys in our ward play softball. So much to do here!

The thing that I’ve noticed over the past month with the kids is they’re becoming friends and love to play together. It’s so sweet!

We also found out last month Emerson has a moderate peanut allergy. Because it’s not too bad he can still go to baseball games and be around peanut-y things, but peanut butter seems to be the worst at triggering his reaction. Mitch had allergies as a kid (grass, cats) that he grew out of so I’m hoping E does too! He still just as fun as ever, though now I am one of those annoying lunatic moms that carries an Epi-Pen around and has to be worried about his food all the time. So frustrating.

Here are some random photos from the past month. Now that spring is upon us and we’re making some good friends, we’re really liking Minnesota.

Baseball season is here! Mitch got champion club seats with a friend a couple weeks ago. He was in heaven!IMG_4018

I stayed at home with the kiddos and had movie night in our jammies. So fun.

Kiddos playing together… at lunchtimeIMG_3974

And on the floor… Emerson is pretending to crawl like a baby. So funny.IMG_4242

Laundry day!IMG_4226

We went to a birthday party for one of Emerson’s friends from preschool. They had a Rapunzel balloon artist and a face painter there. Uhh people go all out for parties here. Crazy!

E plays outside almost every day with our neighbor McKenna from church. IMG_4140

Mitch carpools every day with a friend from BYU who he works with now. His wife Alisa is wonderful and has become a good friend. I babysat her son last week and the kids had a blast. We went to library storytime and the park. Afterwards I was sweating.IMG_4157

But the kids had fun.IMG_4184

Mitch sent me flowers when he went out of town… to Texas… and got to see my sister and her family! I was dying at home being away from them and I think he knew it, hence the gorgeous flowers.IMG_4185

(I also ate a lot of ice cream while he was gone.)IMG_4196

New bike trailer! There are hundreds of miles of trails running between every town in MN. You can get anywhere by trail… We get on the trail just behind our neighborhood.IMG_4317

Scored this desk for $5 at the YW garage sale—E loves it.IMG_4424

IMG_4057Still loving my calling as an activity day leader! Last week we did a lesson on health, a workout outside, with smoothies and watermelon. Amazing calling. Do I really get to do this? IMG_4343

Sorry for the overload. My blog is my journal so I like to try and remember as much as possible. Can’t believe it’s already May!

I love the overloads! I can never get enough of the Corneliuses. Your kids are getting so big -- Emerson especially is looking like a teenager these days. Miss those munchkins. And you. Have I mentioned how excited I am for Labor Day Weekend? :) XOXO

I love that you're getting more settled! It makes such a difference to have some friends. Rapunzel has let herself go since the wedding.

What a great life! Congrats on your shop. And it looks like you are settling into a nice routine. And I know what you mean about working with the activity days girls. I get to work in YW and I love it! They are the best callings.

It looks like lots of fun things are happening at your house. I'm glad things are getting better and you're starting to like Minnesota more. Doesn't it seem like things always get better when it's warmer outside?

I'm so glad you are loving your new place! You really are a Super Mom. Your business is booming, your kids are happy and healthy, and you get to play volleyball! And great find on that little desk!
